RSVP apps compared: which ones work for guests in Canada
Pick the app by how your guests will see the invitation. Evite, Paperless Post and Punchbowl text Canadian numbers; Partiful, Luma, Greenvelope and most others give you a link to share; Save This Date, QuikRSVP and Avently use WhatsApp. Almost every app prices in US dollars. Below are 13 apps, what reaching 50 or 150 guests costs, and how each one’s guests reply.

What to check first
- How the invitation reaches a Canadian guest. Many apps text only US numbers, or only US and Canadian ones.
- Whether guests need an app, an account or a code to answer.
- What your guest count costs, and in which currency.
- Whether you can remind only the guests who haven’t answered.
Prices below were read from each app’s own pages on 26 October 2026, in US dollars unless marked.

- Save This Date. Sends WhatsApp messages and texts from its own numbers; guests answer on its RSVP page or by replying (Save This Date). $25 covers 100 WhatsApp messages (pricing).
- QuikRSVP.Sends WhatsApp to non-US numbers. A no is one tap; a yes opens a web form, and a typed reply isn’t recorded (QuikRSVP). Free for 25 responses, then $45 a form for 150 (pricing).
- Avently. Sends each guest a WhatsApp message by name with Yes and No buttons, and asks the follow-up questions in the same chat; typed replies count. The first 25 invitations each month are free, then $30 CAD for 50, $49 for 100, $99 for 250, up to 250per event. Invitations don’t reach US numbers.
A plain link pasted into a WhatsApp group works with any app above, but replies then depend on guests opening it. Why answering inside the chat gets more replies is in how to collect RSVPs over WhatsApp.
Which to pick
- A designed card for a wedding or gala, guests mostly on email: Paperless Post, Greenvelope or Evite Premium.
- A casual party shared by link: Partiful or Luma, both free.
- A kids’ party or family event with US and Canadian guests: Evite or Punchbowl.
- A community dinner, club or association whose members use WhatsApp: a WhatsApp app, ideally one where guests answer in the chat.
And the cases Avently doesn’t suit are listed in when Avently isn’t the right tool.
How this works in Avently
- Step 01
Each guest is asked by name on WhatsApp
Avently sends the invitation from its own WhatsApp Business number, with your event name and date and Yes and No buttons. Guests need WhatsApp, not an app or an account.
- Step 02
Follow-up questions arrive in the same chat
Guests who say yes get your questions next, such as seats and dietary needs, as buttons or a list. Every answer lands in your guest list as it arrives.
- Step 03
Priced in Canadian dollars
The first 25 invitations each month are free, and no event costs more than $99. Reminders go only to guests who haven’t answered, at most twice.
